We entered Pisces Season in tropical astrology on February 18th, the final sign in the astrological year and culmination of all the lessons and work we’ve done throughout the Wheel’s turn. Pisces is known as the most psychic, creative, and transitional sign, perfectly representing the liminal space between winter and spring we now find ourselves in. This is a time for changes to be made, feelings to be felt, and weight to be released.

In the tarot, Pisces is associated with The Moon card of the major arcana. In most modern decks, this card is depicted with the moon at its fullest, shining down on the mountains and river below, but its meaning aligns more closely with the themes of a New Moon: mystery, subconscious, intuition, dreams, and our innermost thoughts and desires. We think of the light as illuminating, but when there is nothing but dark, you can often see what your own intuition is showing you much clearer.

Tomorrow’s New Moon in Pisces opens a portal to the depths of your soul, making it the perfect opportunity to practice divination methods like water scrying or tarot, work dream spells, or simply spend some time journaling and free writing, pouring it all out onto the page.
